Research Policy
AgeGroup seeks to be a hub of vital information of invaluable use to our community members as they journey through their golden years. Areas we cover range from opportunities for modern elders, to facts on pensions and holidays. We look at today’s burgeoning range of age-friendly facilities and pursuits, as well as tackling serious topics such as ways to combat loneliness. We are also in the vanguard of an effort to remind marketers of the buying power of this age sector.
Ultimately, we stand for inclusivity and fairness.
We believe that it is crucial that the content we produce and disseminate is of impeccable caliber, both in terms of writing quality and data provenance. To this end, we undertake:
- To endeavor always to source reliable and definitive information and will never publish spurious or misleading material. Where opinion pieces are produced, they will be described as such. Writers’ positions will always be supported by relevant and up-to-date evidence.
- To identify and use the data from the original source. Where statistics are cited, we will go to the original study where possible, in order to correctly use the information in context and with explanation where necessary. Where an individual is quoted, we will always attempt to find the source material to ensure accuracy and to prevent misrepresentation. We will never use another writer’s work without permission or fully disclosing that we have done so.
- To respond to claims of misattribution promptly and decisively. Where a mistake is perceived to have been made, AgeGroup will do all it can to investigate and remedy matters where needed. Should a reader of our output feel there may be an issue with attribution, we welcome being made privy to this, along with any evidence of alternative provenance.
AgeGroup thanks its readers for their continued support and their assistance with ensuring our output is original and of the highest quality.
